Could you imagine life without good friends, great conversation and a lovely cup of tea?
Introduced by Anna the 7th Duchess of Bedford in the 19th Century, afternoon tea at 4.00pm was originally designed to stave off the pangs of hunger between Lunch and Dinner. The nation took it to its heart and a new tradition was then exported around the world as something quintessentially British.
Although a good cuppa is welcome at any time, we like the idea that it should be a special time to stop and reflect and restore yourself, with the help of some sweet indulgences should you fancy!
We are serving a range of Afternoon Tea and Cakes, as well as a delicious lunch menu to offer you a wide choice of treats.
